The New Zealand Rural General Practice Network (NZRGPN) Board and the Conference Organising Committee are delighted to invite you to attend the National Rural Health Conference (NRHC) 2022. The event will be held at the new Te Pae, Christchurch Convention Centre on Friday 8 to Saturday 9 April 2022.
Our conference theme is Shaping the future of rural health - Mā mua ka kite a muri, mā muri ka ora a mua.
NRHC22 will mark 30 years since our first conference, which was held in Rotorua in February 1992. We’d love you to join us in celebrating such a milestone in our history.
The whakatauki ‘Mā mua ka kite a muri, mā muri ka ora a mua’ teaches us that ‘those who lead give sight to those who follow, those who follow give life to those who lead.’ This whakatauki speaks to the importance of working together to move forward into the future. This is important as we are in a significant period of change, with both the implementation of the NZ Health reforms and the NZRGPN’s proposed transition to Hauora Taiwhenua, Rural Health Network.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to Ōtautahi Christchurch, hearing from outstanding speakers, and connecting with like-minded health professionals with a focus on the topics that have been top of mind over the last year for the rural health sector. We also hope to have a lot of fun as we celebrate our anniversary!
