The National Rural Health Conference was held at Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre on 9 – 10 September 2022. Thank you to everyone who joined us for the first Conference hosted by Hauora Taiwhenua Rural Health Network.
It was a wonderful occasion to meet kanohi ki te kanohi, face to face, with over 380 rural health professionals, organisations, speakers, exhibitors, and guests to share our thoughts about the future of rural health.
We also extend our gratitude to those who joined us to celebrate 30 years of the New Zealand Rural General Practice Network and the launch of a book to mark this occasion.
SAVE THE DATE
Be sure to make a note in your diary that our next National Rural Health Conference will be held at Tākina: Wellington Convention and Exhibition Centre, 4-7 April 2024.
As you’ll no doubt remember, we postponed the 2022 event from April to September, and subsequently had an excellent event in Christchurch this year. We feel that April 2023 is too soon, and our Board decided to go back to our traditional time of the year for our rural health gathering.
We’ll be in touch again next year with more information and to give you the opportunity to join us again as either a delegate, presenter, sponsor, or exhibitor.
Meanwhile, if you’re not already on our mailing list for the Hauora Taiwhenua Rural Health Network monthly newsletter, we encourage you to sign up.
It’s a great way for you to keep up to date with what’s happening in the Rural Health space and to see updates on our conference and other events. Here’s a link to the most recent edition. There’s a subscribe button at the top of the newsletter page too.
If you have any questions about conference, please don’t hesitate to contact Linda Reynolds, Conference Manager at Hauora Taiwhenua Rural Health Network.
